The Entheogen Series is a sequence of free, music-led community gatherings. Each gathering is dedicated to awareness of a different entheogen—not its consumption.
We bring people together to consider entheogens within their larger relationships: the cultures and communities that have carried knowledge about them, the ecosystems from which they come, the spiritual meaning people associate with them, the evidence being developed around them, and the risks that are too often minimized.
Why music and community
Music creates a reason to gather that does not depend on consuming a substance or adopting a belief. The conversation is important, but so are movement, hospitality, friendship and the enthusiasm people can awaken in one another.
Indigenous leadership
When a featured entheogen belongs to a living Indigenous tradition, we seek to invite knowledge holders connected to that tradition to lead the relevant discussion. Their role is not decorative. They help establish terminology, context, boundaries and what knowledge may appropriately be shared.
The Entheology Project
The Entheology Project is a nonprofit public-benefit organization supporting psychedelic mental wellness through education, reflection, risk reduction, safe community connection and access to responsible support. All donations generated through The Entheogen Series support its psychedelic risk-reduction efforts.
CoCoCo
CoCoCo is a developing public cacao institution connecting cacao, botanical education, ecology, conservation, chocolate craftsmanship, hospitality and community. Its ecological and hospitality vision helps inform the character of the Series.
Rev
Rev is the founder of the Entheology Project, creator of CoCoCo, author of the book that introduced Entheism, and a DJ who has played music since 1989. He convenes the Series but is not presented as a doctor, therapist, Indigenous authority or spiritual leader whom attendees are expected to follow.
